Children - Internet Safety
Every child nowadays is accessing the internet either at school or at home. Since a parent can not monitor the child every single moment he or she is online, this by definition means they do not have absolute control over their activity. Most parents would have activated the "Parental Controls" provided by online security software like PC Guard, Norton and McAffee. However there are ways to bypass these security measures, and the truth is that children tend to find out these countermeasures more easily then their parents do.
Using chat-rooms and social networking sites (i.e. Facebook, Bebo etc.) children are exposed to fraudsters and even worse, sexual predators.
Strathclyde Forensics provide professional ways to monitor children's activity, to record suspicious interactions for the benefit of the parents, and to alert parents for potential risks. We also provide intensive training for the parents, accompanied with relevant literature and checklists that will help you identify the early signs and help your children make a useful productive and fun use of the world wide web
