Disloyal employees are one of the worst threats of a business today. There are many reasons why an employee may commit a crime against their employer's IT infrastructure:

   Not being promoted
   Not receiving a leave or a raise
   Not being recognised or have their efforts appreciated
   Being warned or dismissed
   Having a financial dispute with their employer

However another motive might be greed. If offered a significant amount of money, an employee can easily perform industrial espionage or sabotage, on behalf of a third party (a competitor, or a former employee).
