BREAKING NEWS: Strathclyde Forensics "honey-traps" Nigerian Scammer.

As part of a private investigation, it was decided to reply to one of the Nigerian/419 Scam emails we all receive in our personal email inboxes. As a result a conversation started with one particular scammer, who is trying to extract personal and banking details. The "honey trap" is set, by replying and "showing interest" in their proposal, in an effort to extract as much information and to arrange for a possible meeting.

This page will be updated soon with more details on this case. So far we have a BT-Internet email account (by someone who has been living in the UK) and a UK mobile phone. The person even provided with a fake scanned passport. We shall keep you posted with more up to date info, in order for you to see how these people work.
