The PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) has been around for some time. It was the small and portable (pocket sized) computer that usually includes an Office suite, a Windows (or windows-like) operating system, and acted as the next generation of the Filofax.

The PDAs had their level of success but they were displaced by the smartphones, Blackberry or even smallest laptops.
